“The call compels the answer.” With these words, the Bible tells us that we have the power and the freedom to literally command God. And what is the most effective means of “compelling the answer”? It is the dynamic decree.
Based on the creative power of sound, dynamic decrees are the means to formulate and deliver powerful prayers. We use decrees to create the conditions we most desire in our world. This is why we call the action of decreeing the Science of the Spoken Word.
Decrees are a practical spiritual practice everyone can use. The greatest revolutionaries—revolutionaries of the spirit—saw prayer, especially spoken prayer, as one of the chief instruments of change. Like prayers, decrees are spoken petitions to God. But more than that, decrees are a command for the will of God to be made manifest.
When we meditate, we commune with God. When we pray, we communicate with God and request his help. When we decree, however, we are communing, communicating and commanding. We are commanding God’s light to enter our world for alchemical change. We are directing God to send his light and his angels into action for personal and world transformation.

The Science of the Spoken Word begins with God and it ends with God. God is the doer of the Word through you in accordance with His Will.
Students of the Ascended Masters give dynamic decrees to direct God’s light for the solving of personal and planetary problems. This could include crime, pollution, drugs, child abuse, the economy, AIDS, and the threat of nuclear war. Spiritual decrees are a key that every pilgrim on the path of reunion with God needs to meet the challenges of modern life.
